What to Wear for a Boudoir Session: Lingerie + Accessories

Choosing what to wear for your boudoir session is all about feeling confident, sensual, and authentically you. Whether you love delicate lace, bold bodysuits, or something unexpected, your wardrobe choices should reflect your unique personality and style. If you’re unsure where to start, don’t worry—I have a boudoir guide that I’ll send when you book, complete with visual representations of different lingerie styles on a variety of body types to help you envision what works best for you.
Lingerie That Flatters & Empowers
Your lingerie should highlight your favorite features and make you feel unstoppable.
Here are some options to consider:
- Bodysuits: Universally flattering and effortlessly sexy, bodysuits accentuate curves and elongate the torso.
- Matching Bra & Panty Sets: A classic choice that’s both elegant and playful. Opt for lace, satin, or mesh for different vibes.
- Corsets & Bustiers: These add structure and enhance your natural shape, creating a dramatic and vintage-inspired look.
- Sheer & Lace Pieces: Delicate and feminine, sheer fabrics add an ethereal touch to your images.
- Silk or Satin Robes: Perfect for layering and capturing a mix of mystery and sensuality.
- Baby doll sets: This one is a little tricky, while I don’t recommend them for a standard session, I will highly recommend them for a maternity boudoir session! It accentuates the cute belly while still giving sexy, feminine vibes.
Beyond Lingerie: Unexpected & Personalized Choices
You don’t have to stick to traditional lingerie to create stunning boudoir photos. Think outside the box with:
- Oversized Sweaters: Cozy and intimate, perfect for a soft, effortless vibe.
- Button-Down Shirts or t-shirts: Whether it’s yours or your partner’s.
- Jeans (or Just the Top Button Undone): Adds a casual edge to your session.
- Nothing But a Sheet: One of the most classic and sensual looks, perfect for embracing your natural beauty.
- Accessories: Thigh-high stockings, statement jewelry, pasties, or even body jewelry can add a personal touch. I’ve even had someone bring beautiful ropes!
- Wet T-shirt series: One of my most requested themed sessions! Sexy underwear, white crop top and I spray you down with oil and water. The different angles of the photos and the t-shirt slowly becoming more see through is wet and HOT!

Choosing the Right Colors & Textures
- Neutrals: Soft tones like white, beige, and pastels create a dreamy, romantic feel.
- Bold Colors: Deep reds, emerald greens, or classic black add drama and sophistication.
- Textures Matter: Lace, silk, mesh, and velvet all create different visual effects that can enhance your photos. Straps are always my favorite- they are bold and extremely sexy!

Final Tips for Selecting Your Outfits
- Bring a Variety: Having multiple options allows for versatility in your shoot. Depending on your booked package, you can shoot in 1-3 outfits plus topless (always optional) for the last 10 minutes of your session.
- Comfort is Key: If you feel good in it, it will show in your photos. Pick and try on pieces before your session to see which gives you the most confidence!
- Think About Your Personality: Whether you’re going for soft and romantic (lace) or bold (straps) and daring, let your wardrobe reflect that.
Your boudoir session is about celebrating you—your beauty, your confidence, and your unique energy. No matter what you wear, the most important thing is that it makes you feel incredible. And remember, once you book, I’ll send over my boudoir guide to help you visualize and choose the perfect pieces for your session!
